Classes and Workshops
Council offers a robust calendar year round with classes, workshops, and discussion groups that can be taken individually or as a supplement to our traditional therapy services.
CLASSES: Council for Relationships offers classes to help individuals heal, grow and thrive in the areas of their lives that are most important. We offer classes to improve their relationship skills, those looking to manage their emotions, grow, or develop their sense of self, as well as for those looking to learn new and more effective ways to deal with challenges. All courses are taught by Council’s experienced staff of licensed therapists.
WORKSHOPS: Workshops are 1-1.5 hour educational classes providing practical strategies in any of the 45 subject areas that our staff therapist are expert in. These include parenting, stress and anxiety management, couples communication skills and more.
DISCUSSION GROUPS: Sometimes working through emotions in a group context can be more powerful than doing the work of self-exploration on your own. Council offers discussion groups on a range of topics where individuals can share, listen, and participate in a group dialogue in a safe and supportive environment. Discussion groups are led by staff therapists but are not considered a form of therapy. Groups can include open discussion or support groups.
