Along with the seasonal changes we will be experiencing as fall rolls in, CFR is also undergoing a time of transition. Deb D’Arcangelo is leaving her role as Chief Executive Officer after more than six years with CFR to return to working in her hometown of Trenton, NJ. As a result of Deb’s leadership, CFR is financially and programmatically stronger than when she started her tenure in 2015 and is positively positioned for a promising future.
“Currently providing services to approximately 5,000 people and training hundreds of mental health care providers annually, CFR is poised to go even further in contributing to mental health efforts in the region. CFR has a very strong and dedicated Board of Directors and staff, extremely high standards of care, and amazing clinical and educational programs,” Deb said, adding, “I can’t wait to see how this great organization expands its impact in the years ahead.”
Board Chair Dave Bricker named Chief Clinical Officer Emma Steiner and Chief Financial Officer Howard Cohen as Co-Interim CEOs effective September 18, 2021. “Deb has been a dedicated, trusted, and impactful leader of CFR and will truly be missed. We look forward to supporting Emma and Howard as Co-Interim CEOs and have already begun a search for CFR’s next CEO, who we know will build even more on the organization’s strengths to move it to its next level as it celebrates its 90th anniversary and beyond.” Looking forward, Dave is committed to providing updates to CFR’s friends, donors, and partners through our Newsletter about the CEO search and the new CEO upon selection.
CFR is also excited to welcome Jason Anhorn as its first Chief Advancement Officer. Jason, who joined CFR on August 23rd, brings an impressive 20 years of experience in higher education administration and nonprofit management. Jason will apply the same drive, discipline, and focus that has led him to successfully complete multiple half and full marathons, triathlons, and CrossFit competitions to manage, grow, and create positive outcomes for CFR’s development and marketing departments. We believe at CFR that change brings new opportunity and new perspective. And we are excited for a future of increased impact in the mental health field through education, research, and high-quality services. Please join us in thanking Deb for her tireless commitment to CFR and passionate leadership and congratulating Emma, Howard, and Jason on their new roles!
