Staff Therapist, Dr. George James, on KYW NewsRadio: Disoriented During COVID-19

May 22, 2020 | Dr. George James, LMFT offered his insights on ways people can feel less disoriented during COVID-19. Being stuck at home in quarantine is causing people to lose track of the days, with each day blurring into the next. People are working, doing schoolwork, eating, and spending time with family in the same place, which is causing a daze of restlessness. Dr. James attributes this feeling to people not making clear distinctions between activities. He suggests that people should set and stick to a schedule, setting aside times for work, meals, and hobbies, so it’s clear which action they are engaged in. Also, he advised people to stay physically active to combat feelings of restlessness.
