On Connection

Many social workers and therapists believe that connection is at the very root of why we are here.  As Brene Brown states in her famous TedTalk on vulnerability, “It’s what gives purpose and meaning to our lives.”  Often, we can lose sight of our connections; being busy in our day to day lives, having commitments, deadlines, and obligations that we forget to nourish those connections.  I would be remiss to not point out that we have even more and more ways to connect with people now through technology and applications. However if we do not know how to use them to connect in meaningful ways, we are also not nourishing those connections.  So, I am curious, what are you doing to connect today?
