Clergy Educational Offerings

Council for Relationships offers a wide range of educational offerings for clergy. We offer the following options:

Post Graduate Certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy: A comprehensive training program combining coursework, clinical hours and supervision leading to licensure in Marriage and Family Therapy.

Congregational and Family Systems Certificate Program: An training program for clergy looking to advance their skills as a counselor within their congregation. This program provides clergy with the same academic foundation and group supervision as our Post Graduate Certificate Program but does not lead to licensure in Marriage and Family therapy.

Workshops for Clergy: One day “lunch and learn” workshops are available for members of the clergy and mental health professionals looking for further education from a clinical perspective. Topics can include:

  • Grief Counseling
  • First Responders: Counseling for Military Families
  • The Impact of Social Media on Relationships, Community and Congregational Life

Continuing Education Courses: Council for Relationships offers CE credits for counselors and mental health professionals.

Individual Courses: Courses offered as part of the Post Graduate Program are available for matriculation on an individual basis to any clergy member, counselor or mental health professional looking for advanced training.
