 25th Treating Couples Conference

November 10, 2017

The Harmonizing the Self & the System conference introduces the most up-to-date iteration of the Intersystem Approach (IA), which now includes the comprehensive application of attachment theory.  Developed over several decades, the IA is a systemic conceptual integration that provides a framework for bridging the divide that has separated our understandings of the individual (psychotherapy) from the couple and family (systems therapy).  The application of the IA to sex therapy is also considered an important and inspiring contribution to the field as well as a new paradigm.  Consequently, the IA is a timely and important framework for professional practice that facilitates the expansion of a systemic lens for marriage and family therapists, clinical social workers, psychiatrists, sex therapists, psychologists, counselors, students and others interested in helping people.
