Nicole graduated from Thomas Jefferson University with her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and a specialization in Sex Therapy. During her studies, she completed her internship at Council for Relationships and has recently returned as a part-time staff therapist. Prior to her return to the Council, Nicole has worked in community settings as a Family Based Therapist, where she conducted individual, family, and collateral sessions with clients in their natural environments, such as homes, schools, and other community settings. Nicole has also worked in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital, where she provided individual, family, and collateral sessions with clients struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders.

Her approach to therapy consists of helping clients learn their strengths and how to use those strengths to empower themselves and improve their sense of self and their lives. She employs cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in her work with clients, which is an evidence based therapy approach that focuses on identifying and changing unproductive thought patterns and their associated unwanted behaviors. She is interested in helping clients who are working through grief and loss, families who are trying to cope and manage through addictions, struggles with parenting, and processing through trauma. Nicole provides individual and family therapy, as well as therapy in both Spanish and English.
