World MS Day 2014

May 22, 2014

World MS Day is the only global awareness campaign for multiple sclerosis. Each year, MS societies come together to share information with the public about MS and how it affects the lives of over 2 million people. This year, World MS Day will take place on May 28, 2014. The theme is “access” with the hope that one day people with MS will have equal access to all the same tools, services and facilities that people without MS enjoy.

Council for Relationships is a proud National MS Society partner, providing care to individuals with MS and their families. The MS Society subsidizes the cost of care for qualifying low-income MS patients and their families that seek counseling at Council for Relationships. In the past year, Council for Relationships has provided hundreds of hours of therapy to individuals with MS and their families. Contact the Greater Delaware Valley Chapter of the MS Society for more information about subsidized care or contact Council for Relationships to learn more about our services at 215-382-6680.

As partners with the MS Society, we hope that you will take part in World MS Day next Wednesday. Visit the World MS Day website and share your “One day” wish to raise awareness.

One day we want everyone living with MS and their families to easily have access to high-quality mental health care. Help us and the MS Society make this wish come true!
