A dedicated therapist and advocate for women’s mental health, Amy will lead the program’s continued growth and community impact.

WPHS was established to ensure that women across all life stages have access to high-quality mental health care. The program is staffed by over 25 clinicians specializing in issues ranging from perinatal mental health to trauma recovery.

“Over our lifespans, women face unique challenges that impact our wellbeing. Having access to resources such as therapists and psychiatrists to help you navigate these challenges can be life-changing,” said Jones. “Being involved in WPHS at Council for Relationships as a therapist since 2018, I can attest that the over 25 clinicians involved in the program truly care about the women and families that they work with, have a deep understanding of the unique and complex challenges that they face, and are highly trained and skilled to help you and your family members. It is an honor to be stepping into the role of Director of WPHS, with a commitment to connecting more women to mental health services during these challenging moments in their lives.”

CFR’s commitment to women’s mental health spans nearly a century, beginning with its founding by Dr. Emily Hartshorne Mudd in 1932.

“Amy is highly skilled, well-trained, and passionate about providing care to women,” said Emma Steiner, MSW, MFT, LCSW, CFR’s Chief Clinical Officer. “We are very lucky to have her to guide and grow our specialized services for women, the mental health needs of whom are distinct, nuanced, and very important.”

Amy succeeds Dr. Jane Summers, whose leadership helped shape WPHS into a critical resource. As the new director, Amy will focus on expanding services, increasing access, and ensuring that all women seeking mental health support have the resources they need.
