Sexual Attitude Reassessment

Sexual Attitude Reassessment (SAR I & II)

The SAR is a process-oriented, structured group experience that promotes the therapist’s awareness and comfort related to the sexuality of the self and others through exposure to graphic media and related conversations.

SAR Sexual Attitude Reassessment Workshop Philadelphia Philly PA Pennsylvania

Therapists’ values and attitudes affect the quality of treatment; therefore, active participation in the SAR is essential. This experience will enhance awareness of and comfort with the diversity of human sexual attitudes and behaviors.

Moreover, the SAR promotes nonjudgmental and respectful attitudes toward others, especially those who differ from the therapist in attitudes, values, feelings, beliefs, and sexual behaviors.

NOTE: The SAR format includes lectures, explicit media (for example, adult films that have nudity, diverse sexual expression, and potentially sexual violence), experiential educational activities that promote deeper reflection, and small group discussions. Each SAR is 7 hours. SAR I is a prerequisite to SAR II.
