Wanda (she/her/hers) affirms that counseling is most effective when you ‘come as you are’ with all your strengths, challenges, life stories, and personality parts to explore, discover and heal. She collaborates with you to identify the approaches to counseling that will feel most helpful and comfortable for you. Her training in several trauma-focused approaches (EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and Cognitive Processing Therapy) led her to focus on self-compassion as a foundation for your healing and change process.

Wanda has been in practice for 25 years as a Couple and Family Therapist. She is skilled at helping individuals, couples, and families with communication and relationship skill building; LGBT issues, reducing and coping with stress; sex issues for couples and individuals; recovery from affairs; and anxiety and depression. Ms. Sevey has led anger management and sexuality/intimacy groups. She is an ordained minister in the progressive United Church of Christ and is interested in helping clients of all (or no) religious and faith backgrounds explore the connections between their own spirituality, religion, sexuality, and relationships.

Fee: $$$$

Ms. Sevey is willing to talk with new clients about the potential for a lower hourly rate dependent on that client’s income; please reach out by phone or email to have a discussion with her. More information about fees can be found here.
