Cara Blouin, LPC
Director, Clinical Operations
(215) 382-6680 ext. 3123
Cara Blouin, LPC commonly works with people who the rest of the world thinks are doing great (or were, until some life-altering change occurred) — people who are trying their best, but still feel like it’s not enough, or things keep going wrong. If this describes you, you know how painful it can be when things seem out of your control.
Cara’s research and practice are focused on perfectionism, codependency, burnout, and compassion fatigue, so she has experience working with those who care for others and the world like nurses, teachers, parents, clergy, nonprofit workers, and activists. She also loves working with people who are used to handling things themselves and may be skeptical about therapy. It is important to Cara to be affirming of all genders and expressions, and to be an active anti-racist ally. Cara is a person-centered therapist. That means that she sees herself as a partner and supporter, but that she believes that you are the expert on your own life. She also believes that the first step to making the changes you want for yourself is being fully heard and truly seen. Cara can help you set boundaries, make plans, recognize patterns, change habits and author your own story.
Cara also serves as a Staff Therapist.
