Jason Anhorn brings over 25 years of leadership experience spanning higher education, nonprofit management, fundraising, and the fitness industry to his role as CEO of Council for Relationships (CFR). His early career in higher education included roles at Lehigh University, Coastal Carolina University, University of North Carolina and Elon University, where he focused on leadership and student development, crisis response and alcohol and drug counseling, laying the groundwork for his empathetic and inclusive leadership style.

Jason transitioned into nonprofit management and fundraising, where he cultivated relationships and led initiatives to support educational foundations and organizations in the Greater Philadelphia and New Jersey areas. His expertise in building sustainable programs and fostering donor engagement has been instrumental in creating lasting impact.

In the fitness industry, Jason served as General Manager of a community fitness center, where he combined his personal passion for wellness with professional leadership, developing programs and partnerships to enhance community health. As a person in long-term recovery, Jason’s lived experience deeply informs his commitment to CFR’s mission of supporting mental health and interpersonal connections.

Jason has held leadership roles in professional organizations, including serving on the executive board of a higher education association and as an executive team member for a women’s collegiate organization. He holds a Master of Education in Higher Education/Student Affairs from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor of Arts from Lehigh University. He is a Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) and recently served CFR as the Chief Advancement Officer.

Jason was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Council for Relationships in January 2025.
