Becoming Parents, Staying Partners is a supportive, research-informed workshop for new parents—whether through birth, surrogacy, or adoption—navigating the early months and first year of life with a baby. Designed for those in the postpartum stage, this workshop offers tools to strengthen communication, manage stress, and stay connected as partners while adjusting to the realities of new parenthood.
The arrival of a baby changes everything—your body, your routine, and your relationship. Even the strongest partnerships can feel strained during this transition. Becoming Parents, Staying Partners provides a warm, practical space to help you and your partner move through this period together with greater understanding and care.
Led by Amy Jones, MSW, MFT, LCSW, PMH-C—Couples and Family Therapist at Council for Relationships and Director of CFR’s Women’s Psychological Health Services—this workshop helps new parents communicate effectively, nurture intimacy, and build a strong foundation for parenting as a team.
You’ll learn:
Whether your relationship feels solid or uncertain, this supportive space will help you grow closer and prepare intentionally for what’s ahead. Strong, connected partnerships don’t just support each other—they create the foundation for children to thrive.
