CFR Appoints Dr. Qianna S. Snooks as Director of Operation Home & Healing

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Council for Relationships (CFR) proudly announces the appointment of Dr. Qianna S. Snooks, PsyD, as the new Director of Operation Home & Healing (OHH). Dr. Snooks, a licensed psychologist, brings extensive expertise in trauma-informed care, forensic evaluations, and psychotherapy to this role. She holds a PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Chestnut Hill College and has served in various settings, including outpatient, military, and forensic environments.

Dr. Snooks, who served in the Air National Guard, previously worked as a psychologist for active-duty service members at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, where she provided mental health treatment and conducted military-specific assessments. Her PSYPACT certification allows her to provide tele-therapy across multiple states. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Snooks has contributed to psychological research and published articles on trauma-informed care and primary care practice improvement.

Operation Home & Healing offers specialized counseling services to active-duty service members, National Guard members, Reservists, veterans, and their families. Under Dr. Snooks’ leadership, OHH will continue providing exceptional care through individual, couple, and family therapy, often at reduced fees, with up to 26 free sessions available through grant funding and private donations. CFR also partners with the Headstrong program to provide trauma services to veterans, service members, and family members involved in their care.

CFR is committed to enhancing the mental health and well-being of military-affiliated individuals and their families. With Dr. Snooks at the helm of OHH, CFR is well-positioned to continue making a positive impact on those who have served our country.

“Dr. Snooks is an incredible asset to our team, and I feel lucky to have her as a colleague and the new Director of Operation Home and Healing,” CFR’s Chief Clinical Office and Co-Interim CEO Emma Steiner, MSW, MFT, LCSW, explains. She brings together tremendous knowledge and experience with Veterans, Service Members, and their families that makes her perfectly suited for this workI can’t wait to see how she grows our services to this very deserving and underserved group of people.

Dr. Snooks expressed her excitement about her new role, stating, When I enlisted in the New Jersey Air National Guard as a third-generation servicemember, I never imagined that I would one day play an integral role in offering a path to healing for military members, veterans, and their families. The demand for mental health service providers for military-connected individuals is growing. At Council for Relationships, a diverse set of talented therapists with specialized training in military culture stand at the ready to meet this demand; and I am excited to step into this role, as a guide, instructor, liaison, and colleague.
