Life can bring us to a place where we feel lost in uncertainty, overwhelm, and burnout. Mental and interpersonal stress may become heightened or compounded by environmental and systemic barriers built on stored and reenacted trauma. My goal is to empower clients to develop insight into the layered factors that contribute to patterns of emotional and behavioral distress, while committing to meaningful, compassionate, and self-defined processes of change throughout their healing journeys. I work with clients to build strength and understanding as they navigate relationship distress, loss and life transitions, anxiety and depression, and distressing narratives and patterns of thinking.
As a Queer and Asian American therapist, I believe vulnerability and trust in therapy are established through the acknowledgment, acceptance, and respect of our unique intersecting identities and experiences. These identities and experiences shape how we approach and relate to ourselves and others as we build connections and navigate the many situations and stressors of life. My identities, along with my clinical background working with Black, Brown, and LGBTQ+ adolescents and adults, shape my passion for providing affirming, person-centered, and social justice-informed therapy for individuals, couples, and families experiencing multiple forms of marginalization. Drawing from Relational-Cultural and Psychodynamic Therapy orientations, I aim to foster a safe and collaborative therapy environment for each client, grounded in an approach that sees and gives voice to their unique experiences, capacities, and intersecting identities.
I am honored to co-create a therapeutic space that best supports you in your therapy experience. If you believe our work could be a good fit for your therapeutic needs, please feel free to call or email me to schedule an appointment. I look forward to working with you.
