Dr. Jacobs is a licensed marriage and family therapist (NJ/PA) and encourages healthy, systemic relationships with God, self, and others. Assuming that people and relationships have the capacity to cope, grow, and change, Dr. Jacobs works with clients to elicit strength-based responses to life challenges, to make meaningful conclusions of life experiences, and to build upon those experiences to affect personal and relational changes that promote well-being. A former educator, Dr. Jacobs is also a certified secondary teacher and school counselor (NJ).
Dr. Jacobs is Level 2 trained in Gottman Method for Couples Therapy, an Approved Gottman Bringing Baby Home Program Educator, and an Approved Gottman Seven Principles For Making Marriage Work Leader. In addition to working with individuals, couples, and families, Dr. Jacobs also has experience working with groups on psycho-educational topics that promote coping (i.e., stress and anxiety management).
