Dr. Alexandra Sarah Macy is a licensed board-certified psychiatrist specializing in the treatment of mood disorders, anxiety disorders, reproductive psychiatry, intensive short-term psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and psychopharmacology. She is also skilled in treatment for couples, sex therapy, students, women’s mental health, and pregnancy and postpartum issues, as well as providing medication management. In addition to these areas, she also has extensive knowledge of obsessive-compulsive disorder including best practices for psychological treatments. Dr. Macy graduated cum laude from Duke University, received a masters from Columbia University, and received her medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She is a graduate of the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute Psychiatry Residency Training Program, often cited as the top program in the west. Dr. Macy speaks fluent Spanish.
