Marissa works with individuals as they navigate challenging emotional experiences or life circumstances by offering a safe environment to explore contributing dynamics and factors. She believes that her clients know themselves best and strives to understand the origins of their emotional experiences and the impact these may have on daily life and connection to others. She is particularly interested in working with clients to increase their sense of security and trust in themselves, leading to personal healing, growth, and improved connections to themselves and others.

With many years of healthcare practice, Marissa has experience providing non-judgmental care and support to people of different backgrounds, identities, and belief systems. As a therapist, she uses an integrative approach, drawing on various theories and modalities, including Internal Family Systems, Attachment Theory, Psychodynamic Theory, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

Marissa is a pre-licensed clinical social worker working under the supervision of a licensed clinician.
