Persecution, Racism, and Discrimination: From Post-Traumatic Stress to Intergenerational Resilience
Wednesday, May 8, 2024
8:45 am – 4:30 pm, Virtual
About the Conference:
The Council for Relationships Trauma Conference is organized by Dr. Bea Hollander-Goldfein and Dr. Nancy Isserman, Co-Directors of the Transcending Trauma Project. Join us for a groundbreaking exploration of the profound impact of intergenerational trauma on individuals, families, and communities from an ethnocultural perspective.
Intergenerational trauma, the transmission of trauma’s psychological and emotional effects from one generation to the next, is a pressing issue that affects countless communities worldwide. This hidden legacy of trauma often perpetuates cycles of suffering, hindering personal growth and straining family dynamics.
The Transcending Trauma Project at Council for Relationships envisions a world where individuals and families break free from intergenerational trauma, forging healthier and more resilient paths for themselves and future generations. We believe knowledge, awareness, and research are the keys to achieving this vision.
