If you feel distressed, overwhelmed, anxious, or unsure of exactly how you feel, I can help you understand these feelings and take steps to feel better. I provide you with a safe and supportive space to explore feelings that may be difficult to express to others.
I actively and openly listen to your perspective and with understanding, and I’m able to explore difficult questions so that you can heal and grow. I work with individuals, couples, and families.
Throughout my life I have held positions, whether paid or through volunteer organizations, that required helping people. Practicing therapy allows me to be myself while helping others. Therapy is a wide field. Determining the type of therapist I wanted to be has been a journey. Council for Relationships and the Postgraduate Certificate Program in Marriage & Family Therapy immediately felt like the right path to follow.
Becoming a System’s Therapist has felt like the right specialty for me to practice. Understanding a person by exploring the environment and relationships in their life has given me a new and better way to help people. This allows me to look at the whole person rather than defining a moment in which they struggle. Besides my professional career, I enjoy a good movie with friends and creating a favorite dinner for my family. I also love playing tennis, hiking with my dogs, and picking fresh veggies from my garden.
